    OTHER IDEAS FOR RETREATS

    STORYTELLING:

The area surrounding Anderson Lodge lends itself to many storytelling topics, such as: Native American stories, Big Foot tales, Mt. St. Helens narratives, nature presentations, poetry readings. Arrange your own speakers or call the Anderson Lodge home office for possible resources.

    SING-A-LONGS:

The Main Lodge and the Hilltop House have pianos and guitars. We also have a few song books for you to enjoy with your group. If you are fresh out of musical leaders in your crowd, give the home office a call. We may have some ideas for you.

    LELOOSKA LIVING HISTORY PROGRAMS:

You may be in luck and there will be a Lelooska program during your retreat. The shows are appropriate for adults and children but very small children might not be comfortable with some of the masks. These are wonderful, authentic, entertaining presentations showing the dancing, carving and storytelling of the Northwest Coast Native Americans. The site is about 10 miles west of the lodge. If you are booking early enough, there may be available tickets for your group. Call the office for information and / or look at their website. (www.lelooska.org)

    MUSICIAN FOR PARTIES/RECEPTIONS:

We have two wonderful musicians that are highly recommended to provide background and solo music for parties, celebrations, receptions, weddings, etc. Both are gifted pianists and experienced in group performances. From jazz, to oldies they can do it all! Call the lodge office for more information.
