The Main Lodge "The Look of Scandinavia" The lodge's interior immediately catches the attention of every visitor. Hints of old Sweden enhance the warm and welcome atmosphere and represent a collection of family heirlooms. The log archways and oak hardwood floors and counters make the interior space comfortable and inviting. A glassed-in sunroom sweeps the back of the lodge and here one can enjoy the wonderful forest setting. The log-framed conference room is fully carpeted, perfect for dining or group gatherings. It overlooks our spacious patio where one can absorb the outdoors in an Adirondack lounger. The Main Lodge with the Malung Bunkhouse makes up our largest rental facility. Groups enjoy the quality accommodations well suited for groups ranging from 20-60 overnight guests and more! Kitchen and bathroom facilities are excellent for any sized group gathering. We offer small and large group meeting rooms and plenty of recreational opportunities. We are a stone's throw from fantastic swimming, boating, fishing, golfing, and cross country skiing areas. Speaking of FISHING…….. we now have a highly successful fishing guide service! Please inquire at the lodge for information of this option for your next gathering at Anderson Lodge. Discounts for lodge guests are given. We are excited to offer the GUEST HOSTEL option between group events! Much like the hostels in Sweden and other parts of Europe, Anderson Lodge opens its doors to a NEW lodging alternative. Guests bring their own bedding (or rent ours) and stay in a room within the Main Lodge or Hilltop House. During their stay, guests are welcome to take advantage of all the areas of the facility. This means you are free to use the kitchen to prepare meals, relax in the various common areas of the lodge, enjoy all the recreation on site and still have your own private room! Anderson Lodge also offers space for travelers with tents or R.V.’s. Since hostel accommodations are offered between scheduled retreats, pre-reservations are required. Guest hostel reservations are only available 30 days or less, in advance. To reserve a space for the GUEST HOSTEL option, email or call the home office. Guests enjoy on-site activities such as: tennis, softball, soccer, horseshoes, volleyball, and basketball. We also offer 2 saunas for the adults and a wonderful play structure for the children. The new reception pavilion is another large group space that is surrounded by the forest. It is connected to our newly constructed game room with ping-pong, pool and foosball. The covered patio allows for all weather barbecues and the amphitheater is perfect for under the stars campfires. Winter and summer, the lodge has many opportunities for groups to get away and relax in comfort. Many weddings have taken place at Anderson Lodge. Our 1700 sq. ft. conference room and the pavilion with laminate flooring are perfect for a reception or family gathering. Anniversary parties and 50th birthday parties are popular events as well. We offer a special reception rate package for such gatherings. The possibilities are endless. Check us out for your next important celebration. Catering is also an option at both the Main Lodge and the Hilltop House. For groups choosing to do their own cooking, all paper towels, soaps, dishes, cooking utensils, etc., are provided.
